One summer our family stayed with Mae & Al in their Tacoma home. They gave us the entire basement which gave us plenty of room to feel at home. There was a ping pong table in the basement where we had rousing games with Steven & Harry. We felt so welcome. At the end of the week Uncle Al drove us all to Astoria to go deep sea fishing. What a great day that was! I remember him holding a sandwich with one hand and fishing with the other as he tried to balance himself on the rocking boat. He was always pleasant and lots of fun. He made a difference in my life. My prayers are with the family.
