Alice Sherf Osborn's Obituary
Alice Estelle Scherf Osborn Mom was born in San Francisco, CA on Oct 9, 1925. The fifth child of Louis and Louise (Garbarino) Scherf. In 1942, she met the love of her life Lloyd Osborn on a blind date and they were married a few months later and were together until dad's death in 2004. Because of WWII and dad's career in the Army, they moved up and down the West Coast, from Lompoc, CA to Anchorage, AK, mostly living in the Bay area and Tacoma, WA. Mom worked for the telephone company for many years before retiring in 1983. Mom had a sense of humor that was like no other, and many people could not help but laugh uncontrollably at the observations that this "sweet little lady" would make. Mom's favorite things in life were her family, a good breakfast, classic movies and her cats. She had a smile that was as fresh and comforting as her favorite perfume. Mom is survived by sons Al Thomas (Jenny), Dave (Teri), and daughter Claudia (Curtis) Hoopes.
