This is your cousin, Patty, whom you may vaguely remember; (I am Harold's daughter & Judith's and Tommy's sister.) I've contacted you in an attempt to create our Family Tree for daughter's sake & ask for your help in this matter.
I lack vital and valuable information about the Scherf side of the family and cannot recreate a proper Genealogy without names and events. Can you contact me via
a Facebook message under the name " Patricia Scherf Namisi" to begin proper communications? It would mean the world to us, because I never knew Dad's side of the family and need to share it with my own child to provide a solid foundation for her.
My fondest memory of your Mom was our visit to her home in San Francisco? I remember a very dark, wooden bookcase in the dining or living room or near a kitchen. I was talking to David and thinking that my Aunt was extremely intelligent due to the plethora of books and diversity of subject matter on the shelves. Claudia left the room and I said to myself, 'She's as funny as my Aunt Alice...I love her!"
Aunt Alice was so gregarious and social and I would tell my Mom, (Jeanne} that I wished I was as extroverted as her. She had dark hair and styled it like Jackie O' whom I revered.
When I was around my Aunt, I always felt like I was being entertained by a Diplomat due to her grace and social ease.
Unfortunately, we have all lost touch, however, I hope you will renew contact.
Thank-you for helping me move to Orange County; I believe Aunt Alice arranged that and I appreciate everything....it turned out to be a monumental move and life-changing, because stability and marriage arose from that move...my Aunt was the driver behind that event and I am eternally grateful to her love and support of her neice.
Thank-you for helping us....
With Love from Virginia,
Patty Scherf-Namisi
