My dear, Amy~
It was with a saddened surprise that I learned of the death of your mother (I just learned of it late this evening--11/30/05). I know that it is always a terrible shock when someone so close to you passes away. Your mother was loved by many and will be missed by all.
I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy and the hope that the kind words of your family and friends will make this difficult time a bit easier to bear.
I'm reminiscing about the earlier years (early 60s) when I used to go to your parents' house in Lake City and I always remember your mother being at the kitchen stove preparing dinner for your family. She was indeed a great cook! She also had an understanding and sympathetic heart towards others, not to mention her unconditional love for her children. I always wanted to emulate her quiet and kind spirit. I always admired her and will remember her fondly. May she rest in peace! Maybe she can meet my mother and father in heaven and share stories about their families.
Amy, if there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to call me. I know we haven't been in touch as often as we'd like, but please know that you are always in my thoughts and prayers. You are my forever friend. God's blessings.
Love always,
