Yvonne A. Martinec's Obituary
Yvonne A Martinec was born April 19th, 1930.
She passed away peacefully on November 13th
2023 at The Lodge at Mallards Landing in Gig
Harbor WA.
Yvonne was born in Ft. Wayne Indiana to Kurt
and Lucy Trapp. There she met her husband
George H Martinec Jr. They were married on
May 3rd 1948. They were blessed with 3 children
and 54 years of marriage until her husband’s death in 2002.
Yvonne was a dedicated air force wife, where she followed her husband’s
career to many deployments, until they made their final destination in Tacoma
Washington.
She had many talents and will be remembered as an amazing cook and baker.
She was a gifted sewist and quilter. Everyone Yvonne knew were touched in
some way by her gifts. Here true passion was the love for her family. She was
preceded in death by her parents Kurt and Lucy Trapp, her husband George
and Daughter Barbara Hale.
Yvonne is survived by her two sons George Martinec III (wife Kelly) and Kurt
Martinec. Son in-law, Bill Hale, Grandchildren: Debra Zahnow(Husband
Brandon), Kelli Hale, Kristin Martinec, Evan Martinec (Wife Miyuki), Brittany
Leaf (Husband Travis), Great grandchildren: Brayden Brunsman, Kuenzie
Brunsman, Robert Brunsman, Vivian leaf, Norah Leaf and Nolan Martinec
Yvonne will be remembered by her church family at Peninsula Lutheran, where
she was an active member until her mind and body would no longer allow her
presence.
Dear Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother and friend rest in peace. We
