Young Suk Minckler's Obituary
Young Suk Minckler (Tina) died at the grand old age of 82. She was born in Yongdungpo-ku, Seoul, Korea on January 15, 1935 and passed to be with the Lord on July 28, 2017 after a lengthy illness of more than 11 years. She was married to 1SG (ret) Ross Minckler at the US Embassy in Seoul, Korea by the US Ambassador on April 26, 1962. She traveled with her husband twice to Germany, as well as several other Army bases within the United States. She was employed by Pederson's Fryer Farm in Tacoma for more than 25 years before retiring in 2000.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, three sisters in the United States, and one brother in Korea. The family would like to thank Lakewood Baptist Temple's pastor and church members, as well as the medical staff at Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Clare Hospital. They would also like to especially thank the owners and staff of the adult family home Bethel Care LLC and Dr. Kennel, who was her primary care physician for more than 30 years. Her body will be buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood, Washington.
