Young B. Mansfield's Obituary
Young Byron Mansfield, age 90, of Tacoma, passed on September 27, 2010.
He was born on February 29, 1920 in Sunnyside, Washington to Herbert and Gladys Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Margaret, daughter Marilyn Augustine, grandson Todd Augustine, and sister Margaret Samsel. Also preceding him in death were special friends Dorothy Carr of Puyallup and Ev McClasky of Yakima.
He was a member of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was also a proud long-time member of I.B.E.W. Local #76 and truly enjoyed his work and all of his fellow workers. He always was caring of others with love and concern, willing to help in any way he could.
He is survived by his daughter JoAnn Blauvelt (Rod), son-in-law Mike Augustine, three grandchildren Brenda Gasper (Dave), Kelly Sheehy (Matt), and Scott Augustine, five great-grandchildren, brother Robert C. Mansfield (Donna) of Yakima, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who will always remember and love him.
Special thanks for all the loving care he received from the many caregivers and staff at the Weatherly Inn Tacoma and Millridge Village, Milton for the last seven years. You all make a difference, may God bless you.
