Yaeko N. Hall's Obituary
Yaeko Nagata Hall, born May 10, 1924 in Sapporo Japan, located in the northern island of Hokkaido, passed away peacefully March 18, 2017 in Port Townsend Washington at age 92.
Yaeko resided in Hokkaido Japan from birth and was both a primary and secondary school teacher. She moved to Tokyo in 1953 where she met her husband Alba Wayne Hall, then stationed there for the US Army. They were married in 1955 and in 1957 a Son (Evan) was born to the couple and in 1959 the family moved to Lakewood Washington USA from Japan. Yaeko resided in Lakewood from 1959 to 1982 where she dedicated herself to raising not only her own son but three stepchildren as well. After her husband's death in 1980, she moved to Fife Washington in 1982 to be near her son. She lived in Fife until January 2017 then most recently was in nursing home care the last few weeks of her life. She passed away peacefully during sleep at the nursing facility located in Port Townsend Washington just shy of her 93rd year.
Yaeko was preceded in death by her husband Alba Wayne Hall Sr. of Lakewood Wa. Mother Aya Nagata, father Mamora Nagata, Brothers Mituo Nagata, Takao Nagata and Yoshio Nagata. She is survived by Brothers Katuyoshi Nagata, Katsuhiro Nagata, Sister Yoko Nagata all residing in Japan. In addition, a sister Kazuko Fowler of Kent Washington. Son Evan Hall, daughter in law Lucinda Hall of Port Townsend Wa, granddaughter Danyel Goebel, great granddaughter Heaven Goebel both residing in Hawaii, stepchildren Francis Sanchez of Oregon, Jon Mann of California, Alba Wayne Hall Jr. residing in Hawaii. In addition, Yaeko has numerous nieces and nephews living in Japan and the USA.
Yaeko was a big supporter of local animal shelters and animal charities nationwide. In lieu of flowers, she would have liked people to donate to animal causes and charities.
Yaeko Hall, wife, mother, friend, you will be loved, missed and remembered by all who's lives you touched. Be at peace now with our Heavenly Father and all the loved ones that have gone before.
