Woogena Gales' Obituary
Woogena (Woo) Rae Gales was born December 18, 1962 in Great Falls, Montana to Harvey and Theresa Claybourne; passed away on October 25, 2025 in Miami, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Edward and their three daughters; Talitha, Katrece (Connor) and Jaylene. Her brothers, Paul (Judy) Swortz and Leo (Robbyn) Winburn. Also, her Las Vegas family-the Jacksons, that is what she liked calling them: Michelle, TJ, Megan, Haylee, Tarik, Jenayah and Jaxxin.
Woo was raised in Great Falls and graduated high school there before coming to Tacoma to go to college. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a BA in Psychology. Woo loved reading, outdoor activities and listening to music. She enjoyed life, wanting to meet people and getting to know them. Her laugh was infectious and she did laugh a lot, that will be very well missed.
Woogena held various jobs throughout her life time but her last employment was with the Kroger Company. She had recently volunteered for a patient advocacy group at St. Anthony’s in Gig Harbor, WA and wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.
Services will be at Mountainview Cemetery (Lakewood), viewing at 12:00 pm., service to follow at 1:00 pm., at the Garden Chapel.
