Winton Blomquist died peacefully Dec. 10, at 95 years. Born in Superior, WI the 4th of 5 children to Axel and Ahlie Blomquist. He is survived by his wife Mary of 61 years, daughters, Jody (Randy) Cox, and Kathy, granddaughters Jamie Cox and Andrea (Kevin) Miller, and great-granddaughter Hunter. Wint was preceded in death by his son Dan (1994) and his siblings. Wint moved to Washington in 1937 and served in the Army from 1942 - 1945. He and Mary married in 1948, settled in Tacoma, and had 3 children. He retired civil service at Fort Lewis, WA. Wint had many talents and will be remembered for his cleverness and kindness. He loved playing guitar with best friend Bill Kinkella. Wint had an uncanny sense for mechanical operations and was able to create what he needed for any given application. Wint and Mary were active in many of the local community dances. Visitation will be held Dec. 15, 1pm to 9pm, at Mt. View Funeral home. Services will be held at Mt.
