Wilmont Dean Westlin's Obituary
Will Westlin was born July 12, 1925, and passed away January 12, 2019. A lifetime resident of Tacoma, Will attended Bryant Elementary, Jason Lee Jr. High, and graduated from Stadium High School in 1943. After service in the Coast Guard, he attended the College of Puget Sound where he was a proud member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He met the love of his life, Ede, and they were married in 1951.
Will had a special bond with his son, Tom. Together they operated the family business. It was during this time that Will earned the special nickname, “Boss”. Weekends were spent working together on their projects.
Family was a top priority for Will. We will always have fond memories of times spent at the beach place on Filucy Bay. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sports activities, church and school events. Will liked to start his day with the Starbucks coffee group and his Wall Street Journal.
Will is survived by his children, Kathy Comfort, Tom (Kathy), Kim Westlin-Schoenberg (Scott) , four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Will and Ede are together again.
