Wilmetta M. Chandler's Obituary
Wilma M. Chandler was born February 12, 1926 to Arthur W. and Mary Ann (Stepanek) McDonald and passed away on June 20, 2006 in Tacoma, WA. Wilma married Arthur E. Chandler, Sr. on May 5, 1948. Arthur preceded her in death on February 17, 2006.She is survived by her children Linda, Laura, Arthur Jr. and his wife Cathy; grandchildren Taura and Brandon, great-grandchildren Derrick, Amber and Emma; sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Bob Shinn, brother-in-law Bill Crandell, bonus daughter Janelle Rucker, and numerous nieces and nephews.She began a long career in banking during WWII. Wilma retired from First Interstate Bank in 1989 as an assistant Vice President. Wilma was one of the first women in banking in this area to receive that title. She was active in AIB and taught banking classes for both AIB and the bank for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, quilting and visiting casinos.Wilma was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. One of WilmaÂ's greatest joys was celebrating holidays with her family. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, June 26, 2006, in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
