Wilma Louise OrlandoJune 29, 1927, July 13, 2003Wilma Orlando, born in Tacoma, Washington on June 29, 1927, passed away on July 13, 2003. Wilma worked for 40 years in the retail business and actively pursued her interests in rhododendrons and crafts of all sorts. She also enjoyed her membership in the Angel Collector,'s Club of America (Pacific NW Chapter). Wilma was enthusiastic about her hobbies, generous with her friends, and especially kind and caring to elderly family and friends. She enjoyed life, which was evident in her wonderful sense of humor, her spunky nature, and her willingness to try a new adventure. Wilma was a loyal and devoted daughter, sister, mother, and friend.She was preceded in death by her parents, Willi and Emmy Hickstein, and her brother, Willi Hickstein, Jr.Wilma is survived by her son, Roy (Debbie) Orlando of Tacoma and two life-long friends, Frances Steinkirchner and Shirley Hundven, both of Tacoma.Viewing will be Thursday, July 17th from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. and Friday, July 18th from 8 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.At Wilma,'s request there will be no funeral services.
