Cecilia Zderic
Hi y'all. I am Cecilia Zderic, Ben Zderic's oldest daughter and pro truck driver of 40 years. My dad was Ray's lawyer for a while. Ray took me under his wing when he knew I was training to be a trucker per my dad. He was tough on me to learn the ropes. Everyday to this day I remember what he taught me of the realities of the road you would never learn in trucking school. I spoke briefly with him several years ago to tell him thank you what I had learned from him. I am very glad I told him. Then today I wondered how he was. I am very sad to learn of his passing at 70. I am 67. My mom knew him..she just died Feb 15. 2026. With his strict training, I became one of the most accomplished heavy-haul female truckers. He saw that I had the talent, and called me "slick". Hahaha! I used to get mad at him for being so tough and so strict, but it paid off. Thank God for him and my dad for seeing my potential. Truly having those Blessings in my life. I will always miss them. Dad passed away in 2014. I hope his children can carry on his desire to teach his legacy 😇
