William Steuart's Obituary
Born in Denison, Iowa, son of William and Besse. After high school, served in the US Coast Guard as lighthouse keeper at Burrows Island in the San Juan Islands. He was married to his high school sweetheart Mary (neeÂ' Kirk) for 56 years. He was the original Â"Mr. Fix-ItÂ" and was also an avid gardener. He loved his pets, the Mariners, and his little pickup truck. Survived by his wife Mary; son Christopher and daughter-in-law Josephine, of Seattle; daughter Grace and son-in-law Paul Best, of Redmond, Washington; grandchildren Alexander (Sandy) and Isobel (Beth); sisters Grace Keating and Besse Guhl of Denison, Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Avis, and brother James.Special thanks to Gina Pallis and the staff at Davita Dialysis of Lakewood; and to Dr. Wendel Smith and nursing staff at St. JosephÂ's Hospital. Your caring kindness will never be forgotten.Services will be held on Thursday, August 24, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church at 10508-112th Street S.W. in Lakewood. Rosary at 10:30 a.m., and Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Bosco Haiti School fund.
