William Merle Torgeson's Obituary
William Merle (Faulkner) Torgeson lost his brief battle with cancer January 1, 2011. He is survived by his Mother Kathy and stepfather Bob Sobota of Puyallup, Wa.; daughters Amber (Ryan), Silverdale, Wa., Chrissy Torgeson (Zack), Sacramento, Ca., and Lacey Torgeson (Trevor) Folsom, Ca. The mother of his children, Diane Torgeson, Sacramento, CA. He also leaves behind brother Jerry Faulkner (Ceil) Spencer, Ia.; sisters Tammy Nighswonger, Spencer, Ia., Julie Sparti, Granada Hills, Ca., and stepbrother Jamie Sobota (Lisa), Lancaster, Ca. In addition Bill leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends Born in Spirit Lake, Ia., April 2,1959. Bill attended school in Spencer, Ia. and Fort Dodge, Ia. He then began his service in the US Army which included Tours on Panama, Korea and Hawaii. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the the service never left him as well as the love of family and friends. Bill took pride in everything he did, his loyalty and his work ethic was awesome. Services to be held 10 Jan. 2011, 11am in the Mountain View Garden Chapel in Lakewood, Wa.
