William L. Bailey's Obituary
William L. Bailey, born in Mobettie, TX, July 12, 1910, passed away peacefully in his home in the presence of his family in Tacoma, WA. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 27, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Doris (Koch) Bailey; four loving sons, Hubert (Darlene), Harvey (Marlene), James (Sue), and David (Sheri); brothers Hubert and Ralph; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by younger siblings, Lorena, Helen, Tom, Leonard, and Ruby. His love of life included, Husky Football, fishing, woodcrafts, Bible Study, and devotion to his family. As a teenager, he boxed professionally under the name Kid Kelly. He was a US Army veteran and his primary occupations included Carpentry, Ship Building, and Farming. A memorial service will be held in the Covenant Celebration Church at 1819 E. 72nd St., Tacoma, at 3pm, Sunday May 2, 2004.
