William H. Knighton's Obituary
Bill was welcomed to the family of Harry & Elizabeth & sister Diane Knighton on March 10th, 1939 in Princeton, B.C. He lived and attended school until in the early 1950’s when his parents immigrates to Mt. Vernon, WA. He attended LaConner &Mt. Vernon High School’s, graduating from Mt. Vernon in 1056. After high school he attended Skagit Valley College. He was a member of the Washington State National Guard from 1962 to 1968. He married his first wife in 1965 & moved to Puyallup. They had two daughters, Cynthia and Christine. In 1967, Bill became a member of Local 82, now local 26, of the Plumbers & Fitters Union. In 1990, Bill remarried to his “Lil’ Buddy” and soul mate forever, Barbara Meredith. Retiring in 2001, Bill and Barbara enjoyed many things, traveling to Ireland, Mexico, Florida, Arizona, California, Canada, Eastern Washington, spending time with friends, camping, and he loved to get out on the golf course whenever possible. Bill is survived by his children Cynthia (Knighton), Christine (Knighton), stepson Craig (Meredith), stepson daughter Tami (Udovich, husband Joe), grandchildren Sean (Dougherty, wife Julie), Shane (Dougherty, son Hunter), Meagan (Meredith), Taylor (Udovich), Jessica (Udovich), Wil (Endstrom), Meredith (Udovich), and Christopher (Endstrom) and numerous cousins and nephews Bill Thomas (Corrine) of Calgary, AB and Lyle Thomas (Laurie) of Princeton, B.C.
Celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View funeral home 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98496
