A visit to Mr. Jones business was always a great adventure, and many a treasure found as I rummaged through the yard. I will always remember his gentle voice, kind words, and beautiful smile.##imported-begin##Ann Meersman##imported-end##

A couple of years ago a friend and I helped organize a retirement party for Mr. Jones - as he was called in the art community- instead of by his first name. Everyone loved him because he was so kind and such a hard worker, not to mention that if you were looking for some odd little architectural piece of salvage, he knew right where to find it.
For literally years he'd claimed to be retiring so it seemed natural to plan a party in his honor. That event, put on by his sisters and their church was one of the most satisfying and emotional experiences of my life. My friend James created a gold chair with an inscription on it for Mr. Jones from the arts community. Many people spoke about how wonderful he was, we looked at projected pictures and Mr. Jones beamed. The hall was packed with admirers and the food was fabulous. I will miss him: he was such a good role model for us all. . .##imported-begin##Lynn Di Nino##imported-end##

Jackie,
I last saw Mr. Jones earlier this fall. I asked about you and he told me that your husband had passed just days earlier. I remember meeting your husband and I haven't forgotten the conversation I had with you. I wish you well on this double loss of yours.

I had just moved to the hilltop a few years ago and I found myself occasionally driving by Mr. Jones' shop. At some point I was so curious that I stopped in just to see what was behind the gate. Over the years it was such a pleasure stopping for glass work or salvage items. I became to know Mr. Jones as a kind, helpful, soft spoken man.
A couple of years ago my friend Lynn DiNino and I were having a conversation about Mr jones and what an asset he was to the community. Mr Jones talked about retiring and we thought it would be great to throw a party. Lynn contacted his daughters with the idea and they and Mr. Jones' church community organized and hosted the wonderful event. It was a moving experience for me. I learned a great deal more of a remarkable man. I learned of the contributions Mr. Jones made to his family, community and country. I witnessed how his family, friends and church members cherished him. The enormous pride he had for the tribute brought tears to my eyes. His departure is a loss to us all.##imported-begin##James Ceccanti##imported-end##
So sorry to hear of Mr. Jones passing. I spent many happy hours rummaging through Jones Glass, looking for just the right thing for a project. Mr. Jones was the perfect host, such a great smile. The art community misses him. My sympathy to the family in this very sad time.##imported-begin##Karen Perrine##imported-end##
I was fortunate to be blessed by knowing Mr. Jones. As a member of the Tacoma art community I wish to tell the family how great a legacy he left us, and how his kindness and gentle spirit and twinkling eyes were always a pure source of pleasure when we visited him. I attended his retirement party and it was such an honor to hear how everyone spoke of him, and see him all dressed up in his uniform. He was loved, and his love will live in all of us. Blessings to his family.##imported-begin##Diane Hansen##imported-end##
