William J. Lieby's Obituary
WILLIAM JACOB LIEBY
William Jacob Lieby, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on October 12, 2008. Born in Thompson Falls, Montana and was a resident of the Tacoma area since 1920. He served in the US Navy and Merchant Marines during World War II as a Lt (JG). He retired after 35 years of service as Paint Supervisor for Tacoma Power.
He was a member of the Horace W. Tyler Masonic Lodge #290, F. & A. M.; Scottish Rite of Free Masonry; Afifi Shrine; Afifi Greeters; Mt. Tacoma Shrine Club, Royal Order of Jesters; Fraternal Order of Eagles of Puyallup and V.F.W. Post 2224.
Besides his wife, Beatrice of 42 years, survivors include sons, William K. and Kevin Lieby of Tacoma. Daughter Georgine of Tacoma. Step son Douglas DeRousseau of Tacoma. 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Jerome of Colorado Springs, CO.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions my be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Rd., Portland, OR 97201-3095.
