William (Bill) J. Larsen
Bill passed away in his sleep at age 95 August 24th 2012 in Issaquah, Washington.
Bill was born in Tacoma, Washington on February 24th 1917 to Albert and Anna Larsen. Bill was a lifelong resident of Tacoma, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1935.
During WWII Bill served in the Army Air Force and was a pilot officer on the B29 and the B24 aircraft. In 1947 he married Belle Ross of Caldwell, Idaho, who was attending the school of nursing at St. Joesph's Hospital.
Bill was a self-employed businessman. After the war he sold candy for awhile and then opened -Å"6th Ave. Auto Brokers- around 1950. He moved to South Tacoma Way and operated -Å"Bill's Used Cars- from 1956 to 2006.
He is survived by three sons; William, of Sammamish, Washington, Robert, of Tacoma, Washington, and Eric and his wife Kathryn, and their adult children, Amy Rose and Sam Knott, all of Hyannis, Massachusetts.
Bill will be interred with his wife Belle in the Peace Gardens at Mountain View of Lakewood, Washington on September 4th. There will be a graveside service open to all his friends.
