William B. Hyde, 96, died on July 4, 2014. He was at home, surrounded by his family. Bill lived his whole life in Tacoma and was known by many friends and associates as a person of deep integrity, loyalty, intelligence and humor. Read Obituary
Having worked for Bill and his two brothers from 1964 through 1985 when WCG was sold, these three brothers showed the absolute honest, caring, straight forward business integrity way to run a business that is sorely missed so much in today's businesses. Bill is the last of these fine men I worked for and with. Sad day.
My memories of Mr. and Mrs. Hyde and Pam are from many years ago. My parents and I were friends with the entire Hyde family, Bill and Betty, Otis and Charley, and all the Hyde kids.. We all lived close by each other and played golf and participated in all the other activities at the country club. Winter weekends were great fun skiing at White Pass and we had rooms at the Mountain View Inn for the Season. Pam, I have fond memories of our time at Annie Wright. I will always remember Mr. Hyde as being kind, helpful, funny and someone who always put his family first. Having recently lost my husband I know what a difficult time this is for all. My deepest sympathy and may all the wonderful memories help in the days ahead. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
