William Hughes' Obituary
William (Bill) M. Hughes
Born on Feb 14, 1930 in Tacoma, Washington and passed away on May 25, 2013, at the age of 83.
He attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma, WA. After graduation he entered the U.S. Marines serving for three years in the early 1950’s, during which he attained the rank of private. He is a Korean War Veteran.
He spent his career as a Parts Manager for General Motors and worked for several other truck dealerships in the Tacoma area.
He retired in 1993 after working for 39 years. After retirement he was involved in traveling in his trailer to Arizona and spending time in Westport Washington. These were two of his favorite things he enjoyed.
He was married to Dolores in August of 1960.
He was a devoted, dedicated, caring, helpful and organized man. The most important times in his life were square dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his stepson Bob Clark (wife Dawna) and stepdaughter Sherri Fortner (husband Joel), four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Kidney Fund.
