William Edward Glover's Obituary
William Edward Glover, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 66. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, William was the youngest of nine children and carried with him the strength, humor, and spirit of his Southern roots throughout his life.
A proud United States Navy veteran, he served from 1977 to 1989. His dedication, discipline, and loyalty shaped the way he lived every day with hard work, steadiness, and a willingness to help anyone who needed him. He loved animals, especially cats, who always brought out his gentlest side.
William lived a life filled with laughter, jokes, and stories. Known as “Eddie” on the East Coast and “Willie” on the West, he had a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for. He spoke with intention, loved deeply, and could always be counted on.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Gloria Grant, his children Monica Glover, Travis Glover, and Monique Grant, and his grandchildren Maxwell Apfelbaum-Glover, Sadie Glover, Penelope Glover, Roman Miller, and Callie Miller. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Glover Watson and Sylvia Glover Watson, many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, and his beloved cat Mr. Miyagi.
