William D. Brown's Obituary
William “Wild Bill” D. Brown, 93, of Federal Way passed away peacefully Friday, January 8, 2016.
Born in Yakima, Washington December 4, 1922, he has now joined Eloise, his beloved wife of 52 years.
After serving in the Navy he worked with his brother and father as a beekeeper then in 1962, William moved to the Seattle area becoming successful in business, building and operating Skilled Nursing Homes and later Assisted Living Residences (Village Concepts).
Bill’s great passions were piloting his own plane, and fishing off the shores near Westport, Washington. He also enjoyed golf and was a long-time member of Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club in Federal Way. He spent many winters in Maui, Hawaii where he was involved with the construction of Hale Hui Kai, his winter home, up until a few years ago.
William is survived by two loving sons, Rick Brown (Cindi), Steve Brown (Amy), 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
We will greatly miss him.
Memorial service will take place Friday, January 15, 2016 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, Wa. at 11:00 am in the Valley Chapel.
