William Alfred Pryor
William Alfred Pryor, affectionately known as -Å"Bill-, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on July 14, 1934, but grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Bill entered military service in 1951 and retired in 1971 with 20 plus years of service. He retired with the rank of Technical Sergeant. While in the military, he was stationed in such locations as Vietnam, Texas, Maine, Montana, and lastly Washington state. During his military service, he received numerous awards, medals, and decorations.
After his retirement, he served as a contract employee in numerous positions at McChord Air Force Base Tacoma, Washington.
He was a member of the Retired Enlisted Association, Masonic Lodge, Disabled Veterans Organization, and lifetime member of the Golden Eagle Social Club.
Bill loved to cook, shop and fish. Oftentimes, he would cook and invite people over to eat and fellowship. He really loved to show off his culinary skills and he had great skills. He thoroughly enjoyed shopping as evidenced by the many clothes, shoes and other paraphernalia at his home.
During his military service in Washington State, he was united in holy matrimony to Denolis Jackson. To this union was born a daughter, Nekhol Angenette Pryor (Angie).
His parents, Ralph and Lottie Burton Pryor preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his death Angie Pryor (daughter) of Florence, SC; William A. Pryor, Jr. (son), other relatives, a host of friends, relatives and well wishers.
