William "Bill" Sullivan's Obituary
William “Bill” Sullivan SMSGT Retired, 78, passed away July 9, 2014 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. He was born on December 1, 1935 in Bronx, New York to George Francis and Catherine Costello (O’Connell) Sullivan.
In addition to being in the military, Bill worked for the Post Office and at the American Cancer Society. Bill was everyone's friend! He loved to visit with people and always said hi to children and tried to make them smile. He was known by everyone as Papa, an excellent Papa to have!!
Papa made special friends too! Two very special friends were Patty, who makes the best banana bread and his coffee friend Geisla. He also had a feline friend named Evan, but he called him Kitty!
Papa is survived by his x-wife Eva Jane Sullivan, two step-children Kathy (Roger) Johansen from Olympia, WA and Charles (Donna-Marie) Tennyson Jr. of Glastonbury, CT. Grandchildren: Jaime Thomas (Tim Ackerman), Gavin Thomas,Morgan Tennyson, Sydney Tennyson and Trey Tennyson. Great grandchildren: Ethan Ackerman and Journey Ackerman.
Bill will be laid to rest at at 2:30 Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Tahoma National Cemetery with his fellow soldiers.
