William G. Barcus' Obituary
William G. Barcus, Sr., 73, of Tacoma, passed away on January 19, 2017. Bill was the son of Gordon and Lillian (Snodgrass) Barcus. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. Bill spent his entire working career with Tacoma Light, retiring in 2002 after 40 years on the job. Bill enjoyed motorbikes, classic cars, and was a former member of the Sea Scouts.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marge (Don) Hall and his brother Gary (Berna) Barcus. He is survived by his two sons, Bill Jr. (Michelle) and Ted; grandchildren Eric (Kristyn) Barcus, Jason Barcus, and April (Wes) Hubbard; great-grandchildren Archer and Audrey Hubbard; and his brother Richard (Debbie) Barcus, plus several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood WA on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:30 AM—followed by a reception in the Oak Room at the Celebration of Life Center at Mountain View. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude’s.
