William Haskell Anderson's Obituary
William “Bill” Haskell Anderson, 88, passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 14, 2014 in Lakewood, WA. He was born on January 4, 1926 in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Bill served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married the love of his life, Dorothy on February 14, 1947 in Salisbury, North Carolina. In 1957, the family settled in Lakewood because of the opportunity Bill had to work at Camp Murray. He retired in 1972.
He loved to travel with the family in their camp trailer, cooking breakfast for his girls, keeping a well maintained home, the Spanaway Christmas Lights and his terrier mix “Sam” who he aspired to be a german shepherd.
He is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy; daughers, Karen, Joan and Joël; sister Verlie Mae Smith; numerous extended family and friends.
A private family graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
