Wilbur Harwood Barker's Obituary
Wilbur Harwood Barker Peacefully passed away on May 12th, 2016 at the age of 92. Wilbur was born on May 31st, 1923 and lived most of his life in Lakewood. He was a graduate from Clover Park High School and the University of Puget Sound. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Upon return from war, he was employed in the paper industry until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardner. He advocated for salmon protection and enhancement through many activities and organizations. He enjoyed growing corn, flowers and tending to the many plants and trees at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, and is survived by his sister, Virginia Barker, his son Bill (Stephanie), grandchildren Eric and Sydney, stepson Nathan (Michelle), grandchildren Madison, Parker and Payton.
