She attended Fern Hill Elementary, Baker Junior High and graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1970. Later Wendy earned a Legal Assistant degree and went on to careers in the legal field, property management and retired as an Administrative Assistant with the Port of Tacoma in 2012.
Sam Polack and Wendy married on December 12, 1999 in Steilacoom, WA. They shared a wonderful life and loved to travel and golf together. They had many great friends and never lacked for golf partners or dinner dates.
Wendy adored her daughter, Annika, and frequently enjoyed lunching, shopping, camping and attending her grandsons’ events together. She also enjoyed her mother and sisters and traveled extensively with them.
Her favorite pastimes were reading, gardening and travel. When traveling she particularly liked to visit art galleries and was able to visit many throughout the United States and in London, Paris and Ireland.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Polack; daughter, Annika Dean; grandsons, Alex Doyle and Tanner Dean; mother, Estell Sleavin; sisters, Trudy Dasovick and Marjory Johnson; nieces and nephews: Dan Dasovick, Heather Hoff, Megan Tienhaara, Erik and Chris Johnson and David Zerflueh, great nieces: Cailey and Jillian Hoff, Aliya, Kirsi and Lauryn Tienhaara; six cousins and a great many close friends.
