Wendla A. Wild (Wik)'s Obituary
Wendy was born in Anchorage Alaska on 11-9-35 and passed on 1-4-19 at her daughters home surrounded by family and a close friend,
Her father owned a cannery in Alaska and when he passed when Wendy was just 3 years old the family moved to the Tacoma area.
Wendy attended Stewart Jr. high and Lincoln High school. She was an excellent cook , people always asked if she would make them a rhubarb pie or her delicious oatmeal raisin cookies .
She married Robert Wild and together they raised 6 children, later in life they also raised grandson Josh .
Robert and Wendy lived on 56th and McKinley for over 44 years.
Wendy and Robert were married for 55 years until his passing in 2011.
Mom loved her dogs Daisy and Poochie , who miss her terribly.
Wendy is survived by children Matt (Melony), Roberta Moore, Norma Matthews, Teresa Wild , and grandson Joshua. 16 grandchildren , 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Wendy was predeceased by sons Kenny and Robby, husband Robert and brother Andy.
A few of Wendy's favorite things were trips to her cabin in Grayland, walking on the beach looking for special rocks, crossword puzzles, gardening ,the casino and family.
Wendy was adventurous , even going on a tent camping trip with 2 daughters to Idaho to go garnet mining for 2 weeks, when she was 73 years old.
Her family and many friends will cherish her memories forever.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Tami Baxter who was selfless in helping care for her in her final days.
There will be a celebration of Wendy's life at MT. VIEW cemetery celebration of life center on Saturday January 12 th from 1;00 till 4:00 pm.
Wendy may be gone , but will definitely never be forgotten. We will always love you mom rest in peace.
