Wayne A. Mulholland's Obituary
Wayne Allen Mulholland, 85, peacefully passed away on January 11, 2020, in his home with his loving wife, Evie, beside him. Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and raised in Fresno, California. Served in the U.S. Army at Fort Richardson, in Anchorage, Alaska where he was honored as an expert marksman. Wayne worked for Southern Pacific Railroad based out of Bakersfield, California for ten years. He spent 26 years happily serving with the California Highway Patrol. He worked in Malibu, Fresno, Palm Springs, & Ontario. After his retirement he relocated to the Pacific Northwest , where he continued to write Science Fiction Romance novels he began on a dare while with the CHP. Wayne loved to play golf. His lowest handicap was a 9. It was golfing that brought the love of his life, Evie, and him together. Their passion for golf took them to many courses throughout Washington State, Oregon, Canada, California, and Hawaii. He had 3 Holes –In- One. Being a Mason for 57 years was another passion. He also served as a Shriner and supports the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon. His pastimes were reloading ammunition, watching sports on TV, enjoying old movies, reading WWII history books, and learning anything.
He is predeceased by his son Wayne Mulholland Jr., and survived by his wife Evelyn, daughters Roxanne La Mar, & Erika Mulholland, step daughter Angela Howard (Chad), step son Michael Mercer (Mina), grandchildren Ian Cotto, Ariana Mulholland, Nichole La Mar, Gunner La Mar, Alexander Rodriguez, and Madelyn Howard.
