Wayne M Fanshier's Obituary
Wayne Fanshier was born on February 29, 1952 in Tacoma, WA to Jack and Marjorie Fanshier. He died suddenly surrounded by his loved ones on February 12, 2023 at St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA. Wayne graduated from Clover Park High School in 1970 and went on to complete a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Finance at Central Washington State College. He spent 37 years in governmental finance as the Finance Manager at the City of Tacoma, Finance Director at Metro Parks Tacoma, and finally retired as the Chief Financial Officer for Pierce Transit. Wayne is survived by his wife of 35 years Stevie, daughter Tara Heimuli (Mike Sorensen), son Erik Fanshier (Amanda), stepson Brandon Howe (Ann), eight grandchildren Aryanna and Fin Fanshier, Isabell Heimuli, Makenzie, Carter, and Jordan Howe, and Tiana and Camila Torres, his sister Karen Alexander, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunt. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Marjorie Fanshier and brother Warren Fanshier.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on February 28, 2023 at the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Tacoma.
