Wayne Elliott Davis' Obituary
Wayne Elliott Davis was born on April 2, 1963 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Clarence and Ruby Davis and passed away peacefully at his home in Tacoma, Washington on April 20, 2017. He served his country for more than 23 years, specializing in Human Resources 43A for the United States Army, from which he eventually retired on April 30th, 2012. He had obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant (E6). He also received several outstanding service medals and commendations as well as serving in Iraq and South Korea.
Wayne attended High School at C.A. Johnson High in Columbia, SC, class of 1981; Spartanburg Methodist College, Spartanburg, SC; Coastal Carolina College, Myrtle Beach, SC; La Cordon Bleu, Seattle, WA.
Wayne is survived by his children, Foster Davis (Myrtle Beach, SC), Dynesha Davis (Myrtle Beach, SC); grandson Jeremiah "Jay" Davis (Myrtle Beach, SC); brothers, Clarence J. Davis Jr (Avis) (Hopkins, SC), Gerry Davis (La'Tonia) (Knightdale, NC); sisters, Phyllis Davis (Columbia, SC) and Peytrienna Davis (Columbia, SC).
