Warren Dickinson's Obituary
On November 3, 2012, Warren lost his battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Puyallup, Warren was born on June 3, 1924 to George and Mabel Dickinson. Warren is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce, son Rod (Debbie) Dickinson, daughter Diane (John) Trageser and two grandsons Kyle and Darrin Trageser. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Warren's first job was delivering newspapers. After graduating from Puyallup High School in June 1943, he worked on a Nisqually dairy farm during WWII. Shortly after starting his next job, Warren was stricken with polio and after 6 months recuperation, returned to Fibreboard in Sumner where he worked for 30 years until its closure. His last fulltime job was with his brother-in-law Lenard Jensen building custom homes throughout the Puyallup area. Upon retirement, Warren parked cars at the Pierce County and Puyallup fairs for 10 years through the mid-1990's.
Warren's hobbies included fishing, bowling, woodworking and he enjoyed just sitting at the kitchen table watching the kids play ball in the park across the street.
Warren was laid to rest beside his beloved Grandma Yant in Woodbine cemetery. No services per his request.
