Walter M Anderson's Obituary
Walter M Anderson, born February 4, 1930 in Graham WA., passed away March 2, 2015 in Puyallup, WA. Walt owned and operated Valley Furnace in Puyallup for over 22 years and was proud that his three sons worked with him at one time.
A member of the last graduating class from Kapowsin High School, Walt spent most of his life in Graham and spent his retirement years at Sun Land in Eastern Washington before settling in Puyallup.
Walt served as a Naval Reserve, Volunteer Fireman, Fire Commissioner and Church Deacon. He was a member of the Elks, Church Choir, Merry Mixers, Linden Golf & Country Club and loved golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling. Walt and Alma spent many enjoyable hours in the last 45 years with family and friends at “THE LAKE”.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, two sisters, his son Tom Anderson and granddaughter Ivory Anderson.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Alma Anderson, daughter Deborah (Craig) Kelly, sons Daniel Anderson (Pamela Sayers), Andrew (Teresa) Anderson, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Edna Packer, many nieces and nephews, long-time friend of 70 years Dick Boness and a host of close friends.
Service to celebrate Walt’s life will be held Saturday, March 21st at 3pm at Sunrise Baptist Church 12115 Shaw Rd. E. Puyallup, WA. Memorials may be directed to the Sunrise Baptist Church or the Diabetic Association.
