Wallace E. SagehornSurrounded by his loving family, Wally Sagehorn was called to be with the Lord on 9/10/2007. Born 3/9/1929 in Bertha, MN, Wally, along with his parents Fred and Hazel Sagehorn, moved to Tacoma in 1942, where he graduated from Lincoln HS. It was during that time that he met the love of his life, Joyce. They were married in 1949. Wally prided himself on being a hard worker and a good provider for his family and he enjoyed his 51-year career as a truck driver, including 31 years with Nalley's Fine Foods. He retired in 1995. Wally was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who truly enjoyed the company of friends and the great outdoors, especially his hunting trips. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 58 years, daughter Sandra Huber (David), son Robert Sagehorn (Dale), grandchildren Shawn Marie Samples, Brian Huber, and Dereck Sagehorn, great-grandchildren Jordan and Jaylee, and a host of relatives and friends. Wally was a kind, honest and generous man with an infectious smile, and will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Allenmore Hospital and Franciscan Hospice House for their wonderful care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way W., University Place 98466, or Hope Lutheran Church, 7009 Puget Sound Ave., Tacoma 98409.Funeral services will be 3pm Saturday, 9/15/2007, in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
