Voncile Hooten's Obituary
Voncile Hooten (80) was born on January 30, 1942 in Grady, Alabama to the late Jeff Hooten and Vondale Newman. She entered into her final rest Sunday, April 25, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
A mother in motherhood is perhaps the greatest example of a long, long string of small things that, done with great love and extra thought, can have ripple effects that go on for generations; that is how you can describe Voncile. She gave and showed love to all.
Voncile is preceded in death by her father Jeff Hooten and mother Vondale Hooten, grandson Robert Woods and granddaughter Zuleika Dunning. Voncile leaves to always cherish wonderful memories of her 5 beautiful children: Bernice Glenn (Nelson Glenn), Alma Jean Dunning; Francine Woods, Maxine Garcia (Frank Raleigh), Shalonda Hooten; 5 grandchildren and 16 great & great-grandchildren and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins, beloved relatives, and dear friends.
