Vivian Davis' Obituary
Vivian Annette Davis (Lowry), 76, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2013 due to complications resulting from a fall.
Vivian was born December 15, 1936 in Seattle, Washington the daughter of Orville and Bertha (Peterson) Lowry. She graduated from Ballard High School and received an Associate Degree in Accounting later in life. She married Leonard A. Davis on December 26, 1954.
Vivian started her adult life as the wife of an Air Force serviceman and lived and moved across the United States and Europe. Upon returning from Germany in 1974 the family bought a house in Lakewood where she has lived the past 39 years. While they were stationed in Tacoma in the 1960s, she started her career in retail at the base Army and Air Force Exchange System where she worked for 30 years in multiple locations. She retired and subsequently worked part time at Gottschalks for an additional 6 years until her full retirement.
Her family and friends have lost a wonderful human being. Among her passions were playing cards, cruising with friends, watching the Seattle Mariners on TV and beautifying her yard. She lived to make others happy and her childish enthusiasm for new activities and love of life will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving her are three children: Kathy Jo Rottinghaus (Joe) of Yelm, WA, Stephen Davis (Allison) of Auburn, WA, and Lawrence Davis (Bonnie) of Belle Plaine, MN, as well as eight grandchildren.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard and grandson, Blake.
