Vivian Gloria Bramblet's Obituary
Vivian Gloria Bramblet went to Heaven on Friday, October 4, 2013. She was born Vivian Gloria Eacker in Los Angeles, CA in 1925 and graduated from Deary High School, Deary, Idaho. In 1940, she met James Bramblet the love of her life when she was 14 and married him in 1944 in Vancouver, WA. After James left the Navy, they lived in Idaho and later lived in Oregon, Washington and California, where James started Christian schools.
Vivian was a committed Christian who worked faithfully by her husband’s side, supporting his work through her work at Little Park Restaurant, Spanaway, and other places. She retired as a cook at Anglea’s Restaurant in Tacoma. Vivian was known for her lovely singing, her work with church children, her kindness and industry. Her family loved the homemade jams and other foods she canned every year from their garden.
Vivian was a model wife and mother, and although she will be greatly missed, her family is happy she is at peace in Heaven. Vivian is survived by her husband James, 4 children, Tim and wife Kathi, Terry and wife Teri, Janet and husband Ron Livesay and Bill and wife Doyla, 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. In Her last conversation with her pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, she requested the men’s quartet sing the song “Where Could I Go But to the Lord” in a swinging style. Vivian was great fun.
Visitation will be from 10am to 6pm, Friday, October11, 2013 at Mountain View Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, October 12 at Bethel Baptist Church, 524 176th Street East, Spanaway, WA 98387.
