Vivian Anderson's Obituary
Vivian Siratt Anderson
Vivian S. Anderson age 86, passed away on July 13, 2014 in Tacoma, WA. She was born on December 3, 1927 in San Pedro, CA to William T. and Elsie M. Siratt. Her family will long remember her kind heart and caring ways.
She and her husband Harold built their home and raised four boys in the Tacoma/Puyallup area. Outside of the home, Vivian studied to become a Medical Office Assistant and Ward Clerk, later returning to the classroom to teach others those same skills. Vivian clearly lived for her family but loved to help anyone she could, opening her arms and home to those needing comfort. She was a wonderful cook and well known for sending homemade cookies, bread, and pies home with virtually anyone walking through her door. And her cookie jar was always well stocked!
Vivian is survived by her husband of 68 years Harold R. Anderson; sons Thomas Anderson (Carol), David Anderson (Bonnie), Brett Anderson (Shirley), Bart Anderson (Dawn), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Pioneer Place Memory Haven, for their devoted care and compassion over the past several months.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to your favorite charity.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 8, 2014 in the Aspen Chapel, followed by a reception in the Willow Room, at the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW Lakewood, WA 98499,
