Vito M. Mancuso's Obituary
Vito Michael Mancuso was called back to God on July 22, 2008. He was born Sept. 1, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Vito & Aida Mancuso. Vito honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958-1961 and achieved the rank of Corporal. His first career as a long-haul truck driver spanned 25 years. He had a second career in sales until he retired. Vito recently celebrated 25 years of sobriety. He found his calling in the fellowship. Through his service to the fellowship, he touched many lives and made many friends. His strength was an inspiration to everyone. Vito was a devoted family man. He is survived by his children Vincent & Sheryl Mancuso (Marietta, GA), Nicholas Mancuso (Tigard, OR), Lisa & Mike Rappa (Orlando, FL), and his four grandchildren: Caley & Alex Rappa and Dominick & Nathan Mancuso. He is also the loving brother of Nick (d) & Barbara Mancuso, Agatha & Ronald (d) Brekke, and Mary Joy and Bud Lilly. A memorial vigil will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Tacoma WA at 7:00 PM on Sunday July 27th. A grave side service and interment at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent WA will be held on Monday July 28th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vito Mancuso's name will be gratefully accepted to The Fisher House for military families: www.fisherhouse.org
