Violet passed away June 26, 2008. She was born June 5, 1921 in Sandpoint, Idaho to her parents Carter and Violet Lewis. Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred (Bill) March 27, 2008. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Jimerson (William), son Allan (Christine), five grown grandchildren, Robert, Tressa, Monica, Aaron, Betsy, and three great-granddaughters, Amanda, Emily, and Ashley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Violet worked in the shipyards during World War II as a welder. She retired with 20 years vested with the Retail Grocery Clerks. She was an active member of the Women's Sportsmen Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bill and Vi enjoyed their vacation home in Packwood. The family would like to thank all those who allowed Mother to pass with dignity, especially St. Joseph Medical Hospital and Franciscan Hospice House. A private family graveside service is planned per her request. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA.
