Violet Brown's Obituary
On February 1st, 2022, our mother, Violet J Brown (Rued), went to be with our Lord Jesus.
Born February 6th, 1935, in Mauston, Wisconsin, Violet was the daughter of John and Violet Geirut.
Violet spent her early years in Mauston, Wisconsin and Stanley, North Dakota. She moved to the state of Washington when she was 5 years old and has been in this state since.
Violet attended Federal Way High School, class of 1953, and Pacific Lutheran College, graduating in 1957. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert E Brown, sisters Marian Peterson and Norma Mazza.
Our mother taught in the Franklin Pierce School District for over 35 years. Most of that time was at Elmhurst Elementary School. Violet always knew she would be a teacher and it brought her a lot of joy.
Violet is survived by her sister Linda (Verne) Poirier and her four children: Steve (Kass) Brown, Lisa Brown, Jill (Katherine) Vanskike, and Lana Pedrique. Grandchildren: Josh (Heidi) Zimmer, Brian Faberski, Nathanael Brown, Mariana (Artie) Gorash and Liliana Pedrique. Great grandchildren: Landynn and Hadley Zimmer, JJ Martinez and Zane Gorash. Violet will be interred at Mountain View Funeral Home on March 9th at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to CHI Franciscan Hospice. We are grateful to Diane, Lisa and Kristie who helped care for mom in her home.
