Viola Jean Frunz's Obituary
Viola Jean Frunz was born on July 13th, 1929 in Benedict, North Dakota. She was the 10th of 12 children born to William and Mary Kachenko. Vi married Joseph Frunz in 1953 and celebrated over 65 years of marriage together. Vi and Joe lived all over the United States making friends from North Dakota to Alaska. They spent most of their lives in Tacoma close to their family and friends.
Vi was a devout Christian and loved spending her time in church serving God. She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for over 49 years in Tacoma, Washington.
Vi was the last of her siblings to pass. She leaves behind 5 loving children, Rodney, Jerry, Suzie, Mary Jo, and Robbie and her grandchildren Lisa, Nancy, Robbie, Shelly, Kristy, Stacie, Randy, Jamie, and Amy. She will reunite with her siblings Ed, Nick, Helen, Ann, Bill, Art, Rusty, Chuck, Carl, Lila, Jeanette and countless others who welcome her in Heaven.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. Vi was the heart of that village for her family. While her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family were all with her in her final days, she waited until they were at rest before she finally passed in the early hours of June 1st, 2018. She was looking out for them one final time. Now, she watches from heaven.
