Dear Dale,
I read the article about your mother. I am sorry you have lost such a special person in you life. It is never easy no matter when or how.
I do remember those days when we we get together and dance on your patio. Your mother always made us feel so welcome.
Also, I have often meant to send you pictures taken at the reunion picnic you organized at Mt. Pilchuck and none of us realizing what a glass artisan you had already become.
No matter where I have lived, my mother has always sent me articles and even a video, keeping me up to date with your amazing professonal journey.
I will try and find a way to send you those pictures. For now, I send my sincere sympathies to you, your wife, and your son.

My Darling Auntie Vi:
You were my second Mother, how I loved you so. You always listened & helped me with my problems & never scolded me. How I loved the first pair of red high healed shoes you bought me & my Mother had a fit! I will miss you terribly, but I'll see you on the other side.
Love you always, MerMo##imported-begin##Meriel Medrano##imported-end##

My dear Auntie Vi, how I'll treasure my memories of you and the FUN that you brought to our family. I'll always remember the family stories that you told me and will be especially thankful for your starting of my college fund. You are indeed the most colorful person I have ever known. Thank you for being you Auntie Vi, and for the joy that you brought to my life, all my love, Kari##imported-begin##Kari Donley##imported-end##
I am signing this in liew of Marie Magnuson who has no computer. Ms. Magnuson was unable to attend the services because of her health. She has shared many stories of "Vi" and of Dale and how wonderful the two were to each other.##imported-begin##Betty Anderson##imported-end##
My deepest thoughts are with you on the loss of your mother. I can only imagine the importance she must have had for you all throughout your creative life.##imported-begin##Bill Bain##imported-end##
Vi and I held many a bragging session at my home. I think I have copies of the first two books of yours from that time. She was a lady that lived life to the fullest, on her own, and even fuller through you, Dale.
All who knew her are blessed for it.

I send my condolences to you and your family. I remember your Dad and Mom coming to my parents home when I was a child and playing bridge. I ran into Auntie Vi as an adult and we shared many good times. We had good visits at her house sitting in the kitchen and the back yard. I knew she was ill for some time. I am grateful for her friendship. Best wishes and deepest sympathy.##imported-begin##Marlene (Ambrose) Williams##imported-end##
