Vincent David Peterson's Obituary
Vincent David Peterson, 19 months, of Spanaway, Washington was born on November 9th 2017 in Tacoma, Washington. He tragically passed away on June 26th 2019.
Vincent was born with bilateral severe to profound hearing loss but he never let that stop him from being the sweetest, smartest little guy you could ever meet. He was known for his gorgeous curly hair, beautiful blue eyes and amazing personality. He always wanted to help and do everything with you. He was almost always smiley, he loved to be goofy, tell stories and talk to show you his words, “sing” and dance, snuggle and give kisses. He loved to play with cars, dinosaurs and most especially toys he could push around in front of him. He loved baths or showers and water play, they always made him smile and feel better when he was sick or teething. He loved animals, especially kitties and often referred to neighborhood dogs and birds as “kitty” too. He was extremely adventurous and loved the outdoors, insisting we play outside, go bye-bye or take a walk every day. He was very independent and fearless, he joined the big kids on the trampoline and loved to climb the playhouse and slide down all by himself. He loved to say and wave bye-bye to any and everything he saw. Vincent accomplished so much in his short life. His problem solving skills were developed beyond those of his peers and his vocabulary was on track even though he did not hear our voices until he received his hearing aids at three months old. He also had amazing receptive language skills. He shared a unique love and bond with his closest family members, especially his siblings.
Vincent is survived by his parents, Amanda and Daniel Peterson, his siblings Noah, Sonja and Delilah Peterson, his maternal great-grandparents and grandma, paternal grandparents and great-grandfather, mom’s best friend Ashlee and her family, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Services will be held with Vincent in attendance on July 3rd 2019 at 1pm in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the Peterson’s Church is receiving contributions for the family at Riversfellowship.org, select online giving, special designation-Vincent Peterson Memorial Fund. Vincent will be deeply missed by his family and friends but will remain in the hearts of those who knew him forever.
