Viddie R. Ciro's Obituary
ViddieÂ's wish was to live out her days in her own Tacoma home, and this she did, except for her final 24 hours when she was under care at Tacoma General Hospital, where she passed peacefully on the night of August 10. Her son, Ronald, was at her side.ViddieÂ's ability to remain at home, though slowed by dementia, was made possible by a team of loving care givers.Viddie was born in Tacoma to Peter and Elizabeth Ursich on November 22, 1913. She was a student at Washington and Mason Schools and Stadium High School.After high school she took a job as a sales clerk at Sears Roebuck in downtown Tacoma, and later in life she returned to retailing. She worked for Rhodes Department Store, Oakes Apparel and then Zukors at the Tacoma Mall.For many years she enjoyed the monthly comradeship of the Tacoma chapter of the Retail ClerkÂ's Retirement Club.Viddie was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Ursich Jr., and her sister, Margaret Harder. ViddieÂ's beloved husband, Joseph, passed away in 1994.Besides her son, Ronald, of Bellevue, WA, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, most of whom are in the Puget Sound region.Inurnment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
