Vete "Veto" Sauro
1918 -" 2011
Born January 27, 1918 in Fairmont, WV. Died July 2, 2011 in Gig Harbor, WA. He Was 93. He was married to Garnet Virginia (Whitecotton) Sauro. Vete was a successful businessman in Tacoma and surrounding areas until his retirement in 1985. He was well known for Sauro's Cleanerama in downtown Tacoma. He was preceeded in death by his wife Garnet 1925 - 1972, sons Larry 1940 - 1982, Anthony 1955 - 2009 and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by daughter-in law Stanis, her husband Jim, daughter Debi, her husband Jimmie, sons Bob, Mike, his wife Belinda and David, his wife Barbara. Grandchildren, Michael, Belinda, Jason, Zildjian and Sabian and great grandchildren Kristen & Sean. Dad was a longtime member of the Elk's and Eagle's clubs where he loved to go dancing about 5 days a week with his longtime partner Betty Fitchner. Vete was very active well into his 80's. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His memorial will be Monday July 11, 2011 at 2PM Mountain View Funeral Home in Tacoma. Please make a donation to Alzheimer's research.
